Femi Royal is a renowned Global Technology and Environmental Sustainability Leader with over 15 years of experience driving innovation across Africa’s agribusiness landscape. He has worked with a broad range of partners—including private sector organizations, multinational corporations, international financial institutions, UN agencies, and government bodies—to accelerate digital transformation in agriculture across the continent.

A respected thought leader and global voice on the future of agriculture powered by technology, Femi has delivered TEDx talks, authored scholarly articles, and led pioneering projects in blockchain, drones, robotics, renewable energy, and emerging agri-tech solutions. His work has taken him to nearly 40 countries and positively impacted close to one million farmers across Nigeria’s 36 states, contributing to initiatives collectively valued at over $200 million.

Femi has consulted for leading organizations including ThriveAgric, United Nations IFAD, FNZ Group, Dalberg, and Dev-Afrique, offering strategic insights that blend digital innovation with sustainable development.

He is the co-founder of MyFarmbase Africa, a pioneering digital agriculture platform that supports a thriving community of over 12,000 young people with opportunities in agri-tech entrepreneurship and employment. Through the Upsurge Foundation, he advances youth development via scholarships, leadership training, and personal growth programs. He also leads Upsurge Global, a tech-driven media and travel agency delivering creative solutions for clients across various sectors.

Femi is an alumnus of TEDx, Lagos Business School, the University of Reading, TechNation Global talent and the Robert Bosch Stiftung Fellowship.

Beyond his professional life, he serves as a Parish Councillor and a School Governor in South East England and enjoys playing lawn tennis in his spare time.
